Since 1926, 40 Winkler gasifiers have been built, 7 of which utilize the HTW® technology. The most notable references built after 1970 are listed below.

    Rheinbraun and Thyssen-Krupp developed the pressurized version of the gasifier known as the High Temperature Winkler (HTW®) process.
